The article focuses on recovery of polycarbonate (PC) and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) plastics from electronics shredder residue (ESR), which is defined as remainings of waste electrical and electronic equipments (WEEE) after recovery of metals from them. Topics discusseds include dismantling of WEEE, processing of ESR by using current separators or magnets, challenges in plastic recovery such as presence of non-plastic components and limitations of plastic products. |
