Abstrakt: The article offers information on the clinical conditions associated with the elicited response of ankle jerk reflex which occurs when the Achilles tendon is tapped while the foot is dorsi-flexed. The asymmetrical loss of ankle jerk is noted to be a common sign of radiculopathy and plexopathy while the symmetrical exaggeration of ankle jerks reflects the increased of sympathetic nervous system activity.
