The article discusses the findings of the comprehensive and statewide evaluation of the adult drug courts in Virginia. The results show the effectiveness and cost-efficiency of drug courts in reducing drug addiction, recidivism and increasing societal accountability of offenders. The Drug Treatment Court Act which supervised the state's drug treatment court programs is also mentioned. |
