Abstrakt: The article focuses on a research related to antimalarial properties of Morinda lucida and Alstonia boonei species on Sulphadoxine-Pyrimethamine and Curcuma longa on quinine. Topics discussed include effectiveness of quinine from Cinchona succirubra (Rubiaceae) and artemisinin from Artemisia annua towards treatment of malaria; use of Curcuma longa as a constituent in preparations for fever and malaria; and low bioavailability and rapid metabolism in rodents and humans exhibited by curcumin.
