The article discusses a study in which slowly growing broiler hybrids were assessed regarding fattening performance, slaughter yield and Animal Welfare parameters for Label conditions. Topics covered include the examination of unsexed broiler chicks of several commercial breeds, differences detected in fattening performance and European Production Index (EPI). Also mentioned are the Rowan Ranger broiler's advantages in carcass dressing and lower water/feed proportion. |
