The author shares her experiences and suggestions to the U.S. Army leadership which she claims has failed to prevent and respond to sexual assault within its ranks. She narrates the humiliation and stigma of being raped while attending college and her refusal to seek counseling at the hospital, fearing that it might interfere with the security clearance needed to obtain her commission. She talks about wanting to commit suicide due to her post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). |
