Abstrakt: Introduction: There is a need for a better global understanding of the course and impact of adult ADHD across the patient lifespan. Objective: CLEAR will allow for multiple real-world comparisons of clinical, patient-reported experience of care and cost outcomes in ADHD. Methods: CLEAR is a prospective, observational disease registry of adults with ADHD that will follow approximately 2,500 patients in 5 countries for a minimum of 5 years. Sample study questions: What is the course of ADHD? What is the impact of diagnosis and/or treatment in childhood for adult ADHD parameters? What are the short- and long-term treatment patterns, and their consequences, for ADHD? What are the differences between ADHD treatments? What is the relationship between disease severity and compliance? Does treatment and cost associated with ADHD differ geographically? What is the relationship between ADHD status (symptom severity) and treatment costs? Conclusion: This presentation will discuss the rationale and design of CLEAR as well as present the ethical, methodological and logistical challenges that CLEAR needs to address to be a scientifically rigorous and successful global adult ADHD registry.
