The article discusses breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL), which is a growing public health issue in the U.S. as of December 2014. It claims that lymphedema (LE) affects a number of women who were treated with surgery and radiation for breast cancer. Also examined are the disease's effects on the quality of life of affected women, as well as the possible treatments like complete axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) and sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy. |
