The article focuses on gay Jewish World War II veteran Allen Bernstein's unpublished manuscript "Millions of Queers," which is one of the earliest known defenses of homosexuality in English, discovered by researcher Randall Sell of Drexel University School o f Public Health. It informs that Sell and historian Jonathan Ned Katz have jointly documented the life of Bernstein. It also highlights the book "The Homosexual in America: A Subjective Approach" by sociologist Edward Sagarin. |
