Abstrakt: Competing Interests: Declaration of competing interest The authors declare the following financial interests/personal relationships which may be considered as potential competing interests: Dr. Devries is the salaried executive director of the Gaples Institute, an educational nonprofit that offers accredited continuing medical education courses for sale to health professionals. Courses are developed entirely through philanthropy to the Gaples Institute, a nonprofit that does not seek or receive corporate support. Dr. Devries does not receive royalties or personal consideration of any kind from the sale of these courses. Dr. Aggarwal receives royalties from her health-related books, and honoraria for speaking about nutrition and lifestyle. Dr. Ostfeld received research funding from the Purjes Foundation, The Greenbaum Foundation and from Beyond Meat, Inc. Dr. Aspry has been the PI on clinical trials by Amgen, Novartis, Esperion and Akcea/Ionis, and has received conference support, travel support and/or honoraria from the American College of Cardiology, National Lipid Association and WebMD, American Heart Association, and American Association of Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
