Abstrakt: | Plasmacytomas are malignant tumours characterised by abnormal monoclonal proliferation of plasma cells. They may be osseous or may arise from soft tissues. Extramedullary plasmacytoma (EMP) accounts for only 1% of all head and neck malignancies. Septal plasmacytomas are extremely rare. Here, we report a case of an 80-year-old male patient with alocalised plasmacytoma arising from the nasal septum, which was resected endoscopically, with post-op radiotherapy and no recurrence in 1 year of follow-up. A multidisciplinary approach is required for the optimal diagnosis and management. It is essential to exclude any systemic involvement before arriving at a diagnosis of solitary plasmacytoma. Depending on lesion resectability, a combined therapy is the treatment of choice. Competing Interests: The authors have none to declare. (© 2024 Director General, Armed Forces Medical Services.
