Abstrakt: | The American Heart Association (AHA) has devised Life's Essential 8, a set of eight evidence-based health behaviors that play a crucial role in optimizing cardiovascular health and overall well-being. In addition to Life's Essential 8, enhanced screening for Cardiovascular-Kidney-Metabolic (CKM) Syndrome risk factors into routine athlete screening also provides a more comprehensive approach for ensuring athlete safety and long-term health. Incorporating Life's Essential 8 and CKM Syndrome metrics into athlete health evaluations will improve the sports performance of athletes and help optimize their long-term health.
