Abstrakt: We report an unusual case of strongyloidiasis in a 62-year-old male, presenting with fever, and acute diarrhea. The patients had concomitant bilateral renal parenchymal disease and carrier for Hepatitis B. Numerous motile larvae were observed in wet mount of the freshly passed stool. The patient responded well to oral ivermectin. Prompt and accurate diagnosis of strongyloidiasis can prevent the consequences associated with hyperinfective syndrome.
