Abstrakt: | When animals using active sensing, e.g., sonar or an electric organ discharge, cooperate while foraging, the emitted sound or electric field is available to neighboring conspecifics. Experimental and modelling studies have shown that an electric fish can use the discharge of neighbors to extend their own electrosensory prey detection range.
