Abstrakt: Ten-day-old chickens infected with an avian osteopetrosis virus [MAV-2(O)] were more susceptible to challenge with Listeria monocytogenes than virus-free chickens, as demonstrated by reduced bacterial clearance from their spleens. Reduced clearance of L. monocytogenes was observed throughout a 26-day period after MAV-2(O) infection.
