Abstrakt: A case of pulmonary embolism in which the diagnosis was aided by transthorasic echocardiography is described. Echocardiography may be helpful in emergency presentations, as ECG changes can be neither sensitive nor specific for the diagnosis of acute massive pulmonary embolism.
