Abstrakt: | Abstract: Intraspecific male-male, female-female and male-female interactions of Apodemus agrarius as well as interspecific interactions between this species and a possible competitor A. sylvaticus, were video recorded and subsequently analysed. Al together, 89 neutral cage dyadic encounters each lasting l0 minutes were performed. ln both intraspecific and interspecific tests, male-male interactions were markedly and significantly more agonistic than the female-female ones. Females were subordinate in male-female interactions. Superiority of A. agrarius over A. sylvaticus was found in most interpecific interactions. |
