Abstrakt:	Abstract: Clinidium mareki sp. n. from Ecuador is described and the diagnostic characters illustrated. The species belongs to the C. insigneGrouvelle, 1903 - group of the nominotypical subgenus. The current determination key of subgenus Clinidium Kirby, 1835 is modified to include the new species.
