| Abstrakt: | Abstract: In line with the Czech and Bulgarian linguistic tradition, we consider univerbization to be a denomination process in which multi-word denominations are turned into synonymous single-word denominations. Our paper focuses on the demonstrations of multi-word denominations competing univerbized denominations (i) from the structural point of view (competition of univerbates differing in their denominative and word-forming behaviour and the techniques of their formation) and (ii) from the point of view of communication (competition at the level of compare Czech and Bulgarian neological material to show the demonstrations of typologically relevant dynamic tendencies in univerbization under the conditions of the contemporary Czech and Bulgarian language situations. |
