Abstrakt:	Abstract: The article deals with social status and activities of the chamberlains, doormen and gatekeepers of the Bohemian kings in the 14th century. The author firstly tries to distinguish a system of competences and subordination within the chamber staff (servitores camerae) by help of contemporary normative treatise Yconomia of Conrad of Megenberg. Then he traces names and origin of chamberlains, doormen and gatekeepers, forms of their rewards and ways of their social promotion.
