The article discusses the decision of the U.S. Postal Service to sell the Bronx General Post Office. It also discusses the concerns of local leaders on having little influence on selecting the winning bidder as well as how the property will be used. Also mentioned are what local leaders look for and what they do not want in a bidder and the challenges in renovating the 76-year-old building which are full of landmarks and included in the National Register of Historic Places. |
