The article reports on the effect of economic crisis on illegal immigrant workforce in Orange Country, California. Economists observed that deep cuts in industries that rely on unskilled, undocumented workers led to an unemployment rate higher than 9.4% figure for overall workforce of the country in September, 2009. It is noted that some economists claims that cheap labor provided by the undocumented workers benefits the country's economy. |
