The article focuses on the views of Mary Pat Roy, director of the Center for Healthy Bones in Northampton, Massachusetts, about osteoporosis. According to Roy, osteoporosis is a disease that causes bones to loss mass and become fragile. She suggests that older people should consult their doctors regularly and get regular screenings because osteoporosis can progress without pain until a bone fractures. In addition, she states that osteoporosis can be prevented through diet and lifestyle changes. |
