This article presents an interview with infectious diseases specialist Ruth Berggren. When asked about the post-Hurricane Katrina issues and challenges facing her, Berggren says she is concerned with the means to let her patients know that she is available for consultation. She faces the challenge of inadequate medical facilities in New Orleans, Louisiana. Without adequate facilities, laboratory examinations are delayed. |
