The article focuses on the low rate of farmers' adoption of Conservation Agriculture (CA) technology called Conservation Tillage (CT) in China. It states that in 2000, the adoption of partial CT technology package was only 1% and it shows that only few farmers have decided to adopt the technology package which includes no tillage or reduced tillage and residue retension. It reveals that the nature of agricultural production practices in China is not suitable for the benefits of CT technology. |
