Abstrakt: This article presents a comprehensive assessment of heavy metal pollution and ecological risk in Ulsoor and Agara Lakes in Bangalore, India. The study analyzed the levels of heavy metals in water and sediment samples over a one-year period and found higher concentrations in sediment compared to water. While sediment showed relative safety, the water exceeded permissible limits, indicating the need for remediation measures. The study emphasizes the importance of monitoring water and sediment quality to mitigate the risks posed by heavy metal pollution. Additionally, the article provides a list of references that cover various aspects of heavy metal contamination in water bodies in India, offering valuable information for researchers studying water pollution and its impacts.
