This article examines the effects of integrated nutrient management on soil organic carbon status and sunflower yield in Alfisols. The study, conducted in India, found that the application of 100% NPK + Farmyard manure increased sunflower yield compared to the control. The use of chemical fertilizer with farmyard manure also improved yield sustainability and soil health. The article references several scientific articles that provide additional information on topics such as the effects of fertilizers and manure on crop yields and soil quality, soil testing methods, and estimating available nitrogen and soil organic matter.
