The Minnesota Renewable Energy Society filled three slots with exhibits from the State Fair Eco Experience and the Solar Tiny House. In 2012, Laura Cina and Doug Shoemaker from the Minnesota Renewable Energy Society (MRES) assembled more than two dozen volunteers from MRES and local companies to build a traveling interactive exhibit showcasing four different solar technologies that could be installed on a house: solar PV as a pergola; solar hot water; solar furnace for hot air; and solar light tube.
