Abstrakt: The article discusses the health risks of contaminated sediment to human health and ecology in the U.S. wherein the interstitial waters are polluted. It highlights the importance to prevent the atmospheric exposure of aquatic organisms to minimize the effects of geochemical changes. It also cites the use of pore water data for the scientific and remedial investigations of contaminated sediment.
