We performed the first light curve analysis of GW Leo and a new ephemeris is obtained for QT Boo. The light curve investigation also yields that the system GW Leo is a contact W UMa eclipsing binary with a photometric mass ratio of q = 0.44 ± 0.03,

We review the distance modulus in twelve different cosmologies: the $\Lambda$CDM model, the wCDM model, the Cardassian model, the flat case, the $\phi$CDM cosmology, the Einstein--De Sitter model, the modified Einstein--De Sitter model, the simple~GR

We introduce a new distance determination method using carbon-rich asymptotic giant branch stars (CS) as standard candles and the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds (LMC and SMC) as the fundamental calibrators. We select the samples of CS from the ($(

Type Ia Supernovae (SNe Ia) are widely used to measure distances in the Universe. Despite the recent progress achieved in SN Ia standardization, the Hubble diagram still shows some remaining intrinsic dispersion. The remaining scatter in supernova lu

We present new isochrone fits to colour-magnitude diagrams of the Galactic globular cluster NGC\,6205 (M13). We utilise 34 photometric bands from the ultraviolet to mid-infrared by use of data from the {\it HST}, {\it Gaia} DR2, SDSS, unWISE, Pan-STA

Based on moderate-resolution spectra in the range 4200–5200 A, we have studied B and Be stars in the young open star cluster NGC 581. The temperatures of the program stars have been derived by the differential method with the choice of simple spect

We present deep CCD photometry (V ~ 21 mag) in BVR Johnson-Cousin filters supported with 2MASS JHKs data set for the open star cluster NGC 7790. The cluster’s parameters such as reddening, distance, metallicity and age etc… are derived using two

—We use the archival data obtained with the Hubble space telescope to measure distances by the tip of the red-giant branch (TRGB) method to SNIa parent galaxies. Our sample consists of four galaxies: NGC2841, NGC4496A, NGC4535, and NGC4527. For thr
