In situ werd nitraatverwijdering uit het grondwater gemeten. De verwijderde hoeveelheid nitraat per kubieke meter bodem bedroeg 5 mg per uur. De nitraatconcentratie waarbij deze verwijdering plaatsvond varieerde tussen 0 en 10 mg/l.
