Retrofitting clay brick masonry using Deep Mounted (DM) Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) strips embedded in grooves filled with a ductile adhesive considerably increases the out-of-plane flexural capacity of slender unreinforced masonry walls.
