Adiabatic bends are used to reduce the optical loss of waveguides for integrated optics, but quantitative analysis of their adiabaticity have not been reported. Here, racetrack microresonators with circular and Euler bends are compared quantitatively

We observe the efficient coupling of free electrons to the optical mode of a chip-integrated high-Q Si3N4 microresonator. This enables strong stimulated inelastic scattering for continuous optical pumping and photon generation for an empty cavity.
