The investigation of multi-spacecraft coordinated observations during the cruise phase of BepiColombo (ESA/JAXA) are reported, with a particular emphasis on the recently launched missions, Solar Orbiter (ESA/NASA) and Parker Solar Probe (NASA). Despi

The THEMIS solar telescope operating on Tenerife (Canary islands) has observed Mercury’s Na exosphere along several campaigns since 2007. A dataset of images taken between 2009 and 2013 are analysed here in relation with propagated solar wind data.

We observed Short Large Amplitude Magnetic Structures (SLAMS) at Saturn upstream of the quasi-parallel bow shock. Cassini surveyed the quasi-parallel regime mainly during 2004 and 2005, and we present a few detailed case studies from this time interv

We present a comprehensive statistical analysis of Short Large Amplitude Magnetic Structures (SLAMS) upstream of the quasi-parallel bow shock of Saturn. During its mission Cassini extensive surveyed the quasi-parallel regime. For this study we used t

Nanodust particles are ubiquitous in the solar system; we may expect that comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko, the target of the upcoming ROSETTA mission, is also a source of nanodust, that is dust particles of nanometer size. Due to their small size a

We discuss the high energy electron absorption signatures at Titan during the Cassini dayside magnetospheric encounters. We use the electron measurements of the Low Energy Measurement System of the Magnetospheric Imaging Instrument. We also examine t

We discuss some interesting plasma observations in the Jovian magnetosheath by the onboard plasma instruments of the Cassini spacecraft during the 2000–2001 Jupiter flyby. We propose that the observations are consistent with a slow-mode shock trans

[1] We investigate ion densities derived from measurements by the Cassini Plasma Spectrometer, to determine how these ions are distributed around the magnetodisk of Saturn. The magnetodisk is a variable plasma structure, here we fitted the simple str

[1] We present observations of CAPS electron and ion spectra during Titan distant tail crossings at 5,000–10,000 km altitude by the Cassini spacecraft. In common with closer tail encounters, we identify ionospheric plasma in the tail. Some of the e

[1] Plasma data from the Cassini Plasma Spectrometer experiment were used to investigate the properties of the variable plasma environment of Titan's orbit. The characteristics of this plasma environment play a crucial role in the plasma-moon interac
