Bismuth complexes with diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid were examined in aqueous solutions (pH 4–10) by UV, IR, and NMR spectroscopy. In aqueous solutions, the polydentate ligand is coordinated to bismuth through three N atoms and five O atoms.
