Let $S_l(M,N)$ denote a set of $\ell$ triples of positive integers whose parts have the same sum $M$ and the same product $N$. For each $2\leq\ell\leq 4$ we establish a connection between the set $S_l(M,N)$ and a family of elliptic curves. When $\ell

In this short note, it is proved that both the number of primitive characters and the number of quasi-primitive characters in a finite group $G$ is divisible by $|G:G'|$, where $G'$ is the derived subgroup of $G$.

We discuss the rational solutions of the Diophantine equations $$f(x)^2 \pm f(y)^2=z^2$$ . This problem can be solved either by the theory of elliptic curves or by elementary number theory. Inspired by the work of Ulas and Togbe (Publ Math Debrecen 7
Motivated by the work of Zargar and Zamani, we introduce a family of elliptic curves containing several one-(respectively two-) parameter subfamilies of high rank over the function field Q(t) (respectively Q(t, k)). Following the approach of Moody, w
