Summary Trifluoromethylation has been used for nonfullerene acceptors, resulting in an ultra-narrow band-gap molecule named BTIC-CF3-γ. Compared to its fluorinated and chlorinated analogs, BTIC-CF3-γ possesses the most red-shifted absorptions. The
