We have studied 2D CH3NH3PbI3 and its multilayer halide perovskites. These systems have a high formation energy. The optical properties absorption spectra lie between 248 nm to 496 nm with an absorption coefficient of about 105 cm−1.
Hydrogen as a source of clean and future alternative to fossil fuels demands a class of powerful gas sensor technologies. To this end, we have developed unique bi-stacked heterogeneous layers based on 2D Pnictogens and graphene sheets via photolithog

In a quest to mitigate the undesirable shuttling effect that hampers the performance of Li-S batteries, we adopted first-principles calculations to study the anchoring mechanism of lithium polysulfides on antimonene phases, i.e., alpha-Sb and beta-Sb

It is a challenge to identify suitable low-dimensional materials as photocatalysts for photocatalytic water splitting applications. We have systematically investigated SiN, SiP, and SiAs homo-bilayers that are efficient for water splitting applicatio
