Novel redox- and glucose-responsive hydrogels have been synthesized by simple mixing of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and 4-mercaptophenylboronic acid (MPBA) in aqueous solutions (pH > 9) in an oxidative aqueous media. These hydrogels are produced throug
