We give explicit expressions of (P±Q)d of two matrices P and Q, in terms of P, Q, Pd, and Qd, (P±I)d, under the condition that PQ=P, and apply the result to finding an explicit representation for the Drazin inverse of some 2×2 block matrix.

We deduce the explicit expressions for (P+Q)D and (PQ)D of two matrices P and Q under the conditions P2Q=PQP and Q2P=QPQ. Also, we give the upper bound of |P+QD-PD|2.

An iterative method is developed for solving the solution of the general restricted linear equation. The convergence, stability, and error estimate are given. Numerical experiments are presented to demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy.
