The cycloprodigiosin biosynthetic gene cluster has not been reported. We sequenced the genome of a cycloprodigiosin-producing bacterial strain, Pseudoalteromonas rubra ATCC 29570 T . Analysis revealed a probable cycloprodigiosin biosynthetic cluster,
