Existence of wave operators for scattering on a line in R3 is proved. It is shown that the completeness of have operators is violated in the case of a line with periodic boundary conditions. However, the asymptotic completeness and unitary property o

The inverse scattering problem is considered for the Stark operator -d 2/dx 2 + x + V(x) on the whole axis ℝ The Gel'fand-Levitan integral equation is obtained by the method of transformation operators on the basis of the triangular representation

We find the asymptotic behavior of the Jost functionχ(Z,λ) of a two-dimensional Schrodinger operator for arbitrary λɛℂ and Z/|Z|ɛS1 as |Z|→∞ We discuss consequences of the asymptotic formulas for the inverse scattering problem.

An inclusion of finite size with a variable wave propagation velocity is contained in a homogeneous space. It is exposed to plane waves being propagated in all possible directions. The inverse problem is to restore the velocity by means of the scatte

In the present work we use the example of the one-dimensional wave equation with a small deviating argument to illustrate the constructions of the author's previous paper “‘Quasiphoton’ in an active medium”. The significance of the concept of

The reflection coefficient is used to reconstruct a one-dimensional Stark-effect Hamiltonian. The main tool is the transformation operator, which reduces the inverse scattering problem to a Gelfand-Levitan-type integral equation.

The paper concerns the problem of a Riemannian manifold reconstruction using incomplete boundary spectral data of its Laplace-Beltrami operator with the Neumann boundary condition. The reconstruction procedure is based upon the boundary control metho
