We present a new determination of the strong coupling constant alpha_s through the scaling violations in the fragmentation functions for charged pions, charged kaons, and protons. In our fit we include the latest e+e- annihilation data from CERN LEP1

Forward jets as a BFKL signature at an $e^+ e^-$ or $e \gamma$ linear collider

The measurement of forward jets in DIS eγ events is studied for a future linear $e^+e^−$ collider, both for the $ee$ mode and the $e\gamma$ mode. These measurements are sensitive to BFKL effects, as was demonstrated by HERA.
