Robust and fast control of the atomic vapor pressure in alkali vapor cells would greatly extend their use for many quantum technologies. Here, the authors exploit plasmonic absorption in a cell coating containing gold nanoparticles to control the vap

An error on the part of the authors in drafting resulted in Eq. (3) being incorrect in the published paper [Opt. Express 25, 20612 (2017)10.1364/OE.25.020612]. We present a corrected version of the equation. It should be noted that this does not affe

Polymer waveguide bridges with high reproducibility up to 750 μm in length were optically written between two single-mode optical fibers. Fiber ends were treated by adhesion promoter to covalently bond to both the silica fiber and the photopolymer w

Polymer waveguide bridges up to 1.2 mm in length were optically written between two single-mode optical fibres. Optical Nonlinearity of polymer waveguide was measured by coupling a high power ultra-short pulsed laser. Before waveguide fabrication fib

We report fabrication of a multimode hollow optical fibre with a core diameter of 164 μm guiding approximately 10 modes. The number of modes is found to scale more rapidly than the core area.

Self-written polymer wave guide was constructed between two single mode fibers by photopolymerization using monochromatic laser beam and incoherent light source. Geometrical and optical properties of polymer waveguides have been investigated by chang
