RU Eri is a near-contact eclipsing binary (V ≈ 9.24 magV) with a 0.632-day orbital period. The Wilson-Devinney program is used to simultaneously solve new UBVUBV light curves obtained between 1973 and 1981 at the Fernbank Science Center Observatory

TYC 3034-0299-1 (CVn) is a magnetically active, contact binary, ROTSE variable. UBVRcIc light curves are presented along with a period study and a simultaneous UBVRI light curve solution. Our light curves show eclipse amplitudes of 0.72 and 0.62 mags

New differential UBV photoelectric photometry and echelle spectroscopy for the eclipsing binary AR Mon are presented. A total of 46 radial velocities for each component are obtained using the TODCOR procedure. We solve the new and previously publishe

New differential UBV photoelectric photometry for the eclipsing binary AY Cam is presented. The Wilson-Devinney program is used to simultaneously solve the three light curves together with previously published radial velocities. We determine absolute

Light curves of the W Ursae Majoris binary AH Cancri obtained in 1973 and 1988 show a remarkable change in shape. Earlier curves have rounded minima and eclipses appear to be partial; later curves have flat-bottomed minima indicating total eclipses.

Observations and a 2015 Wilson–Devinney Program analysis are undertaken for the first precision observations of DD Indi. DD Indi is of solar-type (T 1 ~ 5750 K) and was determined to be a shallow-contact eclipsing binary. It was observed from 2013

Solar-type variability is enhanced in short period close binaries with increased dynamo driven activity. This activity is studied in our analysis of recent light curves taken of the newly discovered eclipsing binaries GSC 2764 1417 (And), GSC 3355 03

Programs for modeling binary star observables compute emergent intensity for given composition as it varies with local effective temperature, local gravity, and direction. With arrival of huge data sets from Gaia and other surveys, the benefits of fa
