Several chloro- and dichloro-3-alkyl-1,2,3-benzotriazin-4(3H)ones have been prepared by diazotization of methyl anthranilates. A brief study was made of factors affecting the formation of 3-allyl-1,2,3-benzotriazin-4(3H)one from methyl anthranilate.
