B(C6F5)3-catalyzed [2 + 2] cyclizations of α-diazoketones with N-tert-butoxycarbonyl imines affords 20 β-lactams in up to 94% yield, while reactions of α-diazoketones with N-benzoyl imines gave 14 oxazinone derivatives in up to 95% yield.
