The structure of phases and phase transitions in the Bi2Sr2CuOx system have been studied. Under varying thermal conditions two structural modifications, tetragonal and orthorhombic, are formed. They have different morphology and chemical composition.

Interaction of oxygen holes with localized copper spins in high temperature superconductors is investigated; copper spins are supposed to be RVB ordered. It is shown that the exchange spin-spin interaction of these systems drops with decreasing tempe
