The paper reports geochemical, geochronological (ID–TIMS zircon U–Pb) and isotope–geochemical (Nd, Pb) study of granitoids of the Kodar complex developed in the western part of the Aldan shield. It has been established that these rocks can be c

We present paleomagnetic data acquired on 276 samples from 24 Mesoproterozoic (ca 1132 Ma) postkinematic gabbro–dolerite dykes in the Bunger Hills (Queen Mary Land, East Antarctica). In a stereogram, the mean directions of the high-temperature comp

The results of paleomagnetic research of sediments from the Cenozoic key section of West Kamchatka at the Kvachina Bay are presented. In total, 152 samples collected from 121 stratigraphic levels of the 480-m-thick section are studied. The behavior o

Paleomagnetic studies on Paleoproterozoic rocks of the Ulkan massif from the south-eastern Siberian platform yielded two ancient paleomagnetic directions and made it possible to calculate poles corresponding to them for two time intervals in the late

In this work some examples of “twisting” of the Earth in the geologic past are given: displacement of the northern parts of the global submeridional structures to the west relative to their southern parts; the rotation of the “geodynamic pair

This paper presents paleomagnetic results obtained from the study of Early Proterozoic rocks in the Baikal Range of the Siberian craton, namely, the 1850–1880-Ma volcanicalstic rocks of the Akitkanskian series of the North Baikal volcanic-plutonic

With U-Pb zircon dating, we determined the age of rhyodacites composing sedimentary covers among coarse-terrigenous rocks of the lowermost Chaya Formation of the Akitkan Group (North Baikal volcanoplutonic belt). These rocks are considered to have fo
