Melts of the Ge-Cu system containing 16.6, 25.0, 36.0, and 60 at.% Ge are studied by x-ray diffraction. The partial structure factors are calculated. It is shown that the rigid-sphere model cannot be applied to describe the structure of Cu-Ge melts.
